Teacher Gifts

My five-year-old son, Sawyer, is in kindergarten and needed teacher gifts for his classroom teacher and his library teacher.  I wanted it to be something nice and useful, but inexpensive, and it had to be fairly quick.

Carlinda's Cup Caddy pattern was just what I was looking for!!!  It fits a standard size cup (inexpensive and easy to find), uses a small amount of cotton yarn, works up super fast, and looks GREAT!!!

I made both in the same color and then included some candy canes, a candy cane shaped pen, and some Christmas pencils in each.

Both teachers seem happy with the results.  What do you think?

  1. As a former teacher I would have LOVED something like this. There is always a need for storage and this fits the bill perfectly with the added touch of something that looks nice and show thoughtfulness. The colors won't get dirty with little hands around. I love the project.

  2. I love this and I finally bought the pattern last night. I think it's a great idea for teachers. I might make one for my son's teacher for Valentine's Day. Both of yours look great. :)
